2018 marks the Illinois bicentennial and we’re inviting amateur and professional photographers alike to share images that represent Illinois! Completed entries must be submitted by 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 24 and will remain on display through November 3, 2018.
The museum hosts a concert by the Lake County Folk Club featuring Diamonds in the Rust, with opener David Callan. Tickets: General Audience $18, Seniors $15, Lake County Folk Club members $13. The museum will be open before and after the show.
Weaving is a special skill used to make blankets, baskets and rugs. Kids will see real artifacts used for weaving and make a woven treasure of their own. Look for a Saturday Kids! program on the second Saturday of each month.
Join the Grayslake Historical Society as six individuals share a family object and tell its story with a little family history. Presenters include Nancy Reed, Steve Lawrence, Cynthia Lee, Kim Denny, Nancy Johannsen and Joyce Norton.
Join the Grayslake Arts Alliance for a special Illinois Bicentennial Fine Art Show. Enjoy a display of art created by local artists as well as music by students of the Chapin Jazz Studio, a kids art project with Lincoln-style hats and prairie-style bonnets, and free refreshments.
