Enjoy some of Illinois’ sweetest history in this Bicentennial program about Chicago’s Candy Companies. Learn about well-known candy companies that have been a part of Chicago's history including Tootsie Rolls, Brachs, Fannie May and Frango Mints.
Society Member and former Cook Memorial Librarian Jane Trump has researched and woven together the story of the Grayslake Area Public Library. Learn how it started, where it has been and who the players were. Note: This is also the Society’s annual meeting and two board members are to be elected for three year terms.
The museum will be open. All are welcome to browse our museum exhibits before or after breakfast.

Join us for a presentation on Great Lakes, Great Women which explores the significant contributions of women to Naval Station Great Lakes from its opening in 1911 through the present. This presentation highlights over twenty women who broke legal and civic barriers in the fight for inclusion, equality, and recognition within the United States Navy.
