The Grayslake Historical Society will hold a special program in commemoration of the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor and the beginning of World War II. The program will feature stories by World War II veterans from Grayslake, collected by Layton Plyman and former Grayslake Junior High School students as part of an oral history project. The interviews included stories about being a prisoner of war, serving in the U.S. Navy, guarding prisoners and being in charge of mess tents.
