GHS Program Milk Wars: Money, Mobsters and Mayhem

In the early decades of the twentieth century, Chicago area dairy farmers organized in order to do battle with distributors over milk prices.  Society member Jane Trump will discuss the hot button issues involved and reveal how Grayslake was in the thick of the often violent struggles that ensued.  Open to the public.  Free refreshments after the program.
